JAZZY MASALA
Following
the launch of JAZZY MASALA in September 2005 we are delighted to tell
you that the band is now available for concerts, events and parties.
Tabla
master Yousuf Ali Khan, presents a spicy blend that explores many
different styles all driven by exhilarating rhythms and the many voices
of the tabla.
Classical rags and Bangladeshi folk tunes are
layered with hot brass from international jazz artists Claude Deppa
(trumpet), and Louise Elliott (Saxophone & flute). Lucy Rahman’s
ethereal vocals and Kutub Uddin’s bamboo flutes, ensure the band will
enthral Asian music fans and attract new followers alike.
The
presentation is suitable for arts centres, festivals or clubs. Informal
and workshop options are also available with the musicians introducing
the range of instruments and musical styles.
The set lengths and prices can be negotiated to suit the occasion.
