Classical Sarod Concerts June/July 2008
Shahadat Hossain Khan, celebrated Sarod player of Bangladesh is visiting the UK this summer to perform a series of professional concerts for audiences across the country.
Shahadat Hossain Khan is a master of North Indian classical music and is one of the best-known musicians in Bangladesh having been awarded the highest civil award in 1994 for his contribution to music.
He has toured extensively in India, Europe and North America and has broadcast and recorded his own compositions for films.
This summer he will be joined by UK based tabla virtuoso Yousuf Ali Khan and bashe maestro Kutub Uddin in a presentation of Bangladeshi and Indian classical music.
